Australian Sports Commission- Local Sporting Champions
The Local Sporting Champions Grant is offered to young people aged between 12-18 years attending a State of National competition as an athlete, coach, umpire or referee. Grants are offered to the value of $500 for individuals, and $3000 for teams. Local City Council
Many local councils in South Australia offer financial grants and assistance to athletes in their areas. These can range from $50-$500 annually, depending on level of competition and age. Provided below is a list of councils currently offering grants in the area of sport and recreation. Please contact your local council for more information. Local Rotary Club
The Rotary Club of Burnside has set up the Carpe Diem Trust to support young people in their path to achieve their potential. Grants of $1000-$5000 can be offered to successful applicants within the community.
