Constitution Templates – South Australian sport organisations

Supporting the Structure of Sport in South Australia - Constitution Templates
In late 2006, ORS initiated a project to develop template constitutions for a State Sporting Organisation, (SSO), Regional Sporting Organisation, (RSO) and a Sport Club.
For background information about why constitutional change is recommended click here to read "Why Change?" (397kb pdf).
The template documents meet the requirements of the Associations Incorporation Act 1985 in South Australia and incorporate best practice principles as outlined by the Australian Sports Commission.
These template constitutions for sport are a guide for sporting clubs and associations in the community to either become incorporated or to update their existing constitutions.
As with any legal document this does not replace obtaining legal advice on your specific requirements.
For a suggested process to approach constitutional change click here to read "Constitutional Review Process" (127kb pdf).

This resource has been developed for a South Australian audience and therefore meets the legislative requirements of this state. It may not be suitable for any other state.
